Russian Army Attempted to Conduct Offensive Around Two Villages in the Kupiansk Direction — General Staff

Russian army hit Pershotravneve and Pishchane of Kharkiv Oblast with airstrikes. 

The Russian army continued their offensive in the Kupiansk direction. So, during the past day, the Ukrainian military fought off nearly 15 Russian attacks around Synkivka and Ivanivka in Kharkiv Oblast. General Staff reports on this in their morning briefing on October 17. 

Russia hit Pershotravneve and Pishchane of Kharkiv Oblast and Buchky of Chernihiv Oblast with airstrikes. 

In the Slobozhanskyi direction, General Staff reports, the Russian army conducts diversions to keep our military from relocating to more [threatening] frontline districts and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state’s border in Belgorod Oblast.
