UKRAINE, Aug 20 — Ukraine’s main intelligence agency (HUR), referring to War&Sanctions in the section of Components of weapons, published a 3D model and components of a new Russian drone, used in the Russia-Ukraine war.

Over the past day, Russian forces attacked six settlements in the region with a guided aerial bomb, a Geran drone, two Lancet, and two FPV drones at Kharkiv Oblast, injuring two civilians.

Russian troops can use this drone to reconnoiter territories, attack civilians, or distract Ukraine’s air defence.

According to HUR, this drone modification has a camera and two LTE modems, which allow for real-time or recorded video transmission via mobile base stations and course correction.

To attack, the operator aims at the target via the FPV principle, using camera and remote control.

The drone is similar in design to the Shahed-131 (Geran-1), but smaller. A secure satellite positioning system provides navigation with four patch antennas and Chinese Allystar modules.

Ukrainian intelligence noted that almost half of the drone’s components are made in China: communication modules, mini-computer, power regulator, and quartz generator.

Earlier, the remains of a new Shahed-136 attack drone with a thermal imaging camera and a module that “allows automatic targeting via machine vision” were found in Ukraine.
