Russian troops attacked the Nova Poshta terminal in Kharkiv region at about 10:13 p.m. on October 21. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported.

“Kharkiv region. A Russian missile hit the terminal of Nova Poshta. An ordinary civilian facility. Unfortunately, there are victims. My condolences to the families and friends! As of now, we know about 13 victims. All services are working at the scene, and the rescue operation is underway,” the statement said.

According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, 6 people died due to the strike, and 14 were injured. All the victims were civilians who were just doing their job.

“There are people in serious condition among the victims. Doctors are providing all the necessary assistance. Specialized services continue to work at the site and eliminate the consequences,” Syniehubov wrote.

After the missile attack, the Nova Poshta terminal and a truck caught fire, the fire area is 300 square meters. Nova Poshta vehicles and trailers were damaged.

“Two of the six victims were so badly burned that we will have to do DNA tests again to identify the victims of Russian terror.
Investigators from the military department and forensic experts from the Investigation Department, the investigative team, and police explosives experts are on the scene. We are collecting evidence of the Russian war crime.
We have registered and are investigating a criminal proceeding under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Violation of the laws and customs of war”,” the police added.

As a reminder, on April 22, 2022, a man was killed, and six civilians were injured due to the Russian shelling of Korotych. There was also a large-scale fire.
