UKRAINE, KHARKIV, May 19 — Over the past two days, Russia has made 12 attacks on Ukrainian army’s positions and shelled 10 settlements across the Kharkiv region, injuring four people.
On May 16, the Ukrainian delegation met with Russian representatives in Istanbul without agreeing on a full 30-day ceasefire. Reportedly, Moscow threatened to occupy Kharkiv and Sumy if Ukraine did not withdraw its troops from four regions that the Kremlin claims as part of Russia.
On May 17, the General Staff said that Russian troops attacked three times on the Kharkiv axis and once in the Kupiansk direction.
On the same day, Russian troops tried to cross the state border in the Kupiansk direction near Stroivka village, said the “Khortytsia” operational-strategic group of forces.
On May 18, Russia committed six attacks in the Kharkiv direction and two in the Kupiansk direction. Russian air forces hit the region’s Kamianka, Kolodiazne, and Staryi Saltiv settlements.
On May 17, seven Russian attacks caused fires. On May 18, four guided aerial bombs and 14 drones hit three settlements.
