UKRAINE, DERHACHI, Oct. 8 — Russia attacked Derhachi from Smerch multiple rocket launchers, injuring a local man, 72, and damaging a suburban train to Kharkiv and 10 houses with cluster munitions, reported Viacheslav Zadorenko, head of Derhachi military administration. The man was hospitalized with leg injuries at one of Kharkiv’s hospitals.
Derhachi, a city that’s about 4.3 miles from Kharkiv’s ring road, is often attacked by Russian Molniya and Shahed drones, Zadorenko said to Gwara Media, but the Smerch attack was “the first in three months.”
Zadorenko added that Russian shelling also killed one of the local households’ livestock.
Over the past day, Russian forces attacked nine settlements in Kharkiv oblast, injuring a 55-year-old man, reported governor Oleh Syniehubov.
Russia used one glide bomb, three Molniya drones, two FPV-drones, and two drones of an unidentified type to attack the Kharkiv region.
