KHARKIV, UKRAINE, Jan 24 — At about 10:00 p.m. on January 23, the Russian army shelled Kharkiv for the third time in 24 hours. The missile attack wounded nine people, including a four-year-old girl, said the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
The shelling wounded a journalist from the Nakipilo media outlet, Anna Miasnykova. She has shrapnel in her leg and a fracture. Her colleagues said Anna was on her way home when a rocket hit nearby. She was recording information from the hit site and was injured after the second explosion.
The Russians hit the Kyivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts of Kharkiv. There is information that the Russian military used S-300 missiles.
The missile attack damaged private houses, buildings of an educational institution, a postal and telecommunications company, cafes, and cars.
Earlier, the Russian military launched a missile attack on Kharkiv at 4:00 a.m. and 07:00 a.m. Nine children were wounded in the three attacks, and another child was killed. In the previous two attacks, eight people were killed, and 57 others were injured.
What is known about the morning shelling of Kharkiv
Four hits were in the suburbs at about 4:01 a.m. on January 23. There is information that children were injured. The missile attack damaged residential buildings in the private sector, a recreation camp, a sanatorium school, and a gas pipeline. Two more civilians were wounded in the shelling of Balakliia on January 23 at around 03:30.
At about 7:14 a.m., the Russian army attacked Kharkiv. There were at least six explosions. The missile strike destroyed the entrances to a multi-story building in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv. Rescuers are still trying to get people out of the rubble, said Oleh Syniehubov.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov also noted a power outage in the city and that the water supply may be cut off. Kharkivoblenergo [Ukrainian state-owned energy supply company — ed.] specialists are already working to fix the problems.
According to the head of the Kharkiv regional police, Volodymyr Tymoshko, Russians attacked Kharkiv twice at the same locations on the morning of January 23. Police officers who were removing rubble were wounded.
