UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug 5 — The restoration of six apartment buildings in Izium, which were damaged by Russia’s armed aggression, is underway. Four houses are also being repaired in the village of Milova, Izium district, reported the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.

According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, the repair work includes insulation of the facades, repair of entrance groups and public areas, and restoration of the roof, window, and door blocks.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Russian army has damaged almost 80% of the city’s infrastructure. Currently, the local budget and a state subvention are funding emergency repairs. Repairs to buildings where people continue to live are prioritized.
