UKRAINE, Nov 13 – Ukraine has received a $1.35 billion grant from the United States. The funds will be used for high-priority humanitarian and social programs, announced Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

In 2024, budget support from the United States amounts to $7.8 billion, of which $5.2 billion has already been provided.

Denys Shmyhal said the funding raised helps to reimburse high-priority social and humanitarian expenditures of the state budget, including the payment of salaries to teachers.

The U.S. government provided funding through the U.S. Agency for International

Development (USAID) in coordination with the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the U.S. Department of State.

“Since February 2022, direct budget support from the United States has reached $28.2 billion. This is the largest financial assistance to Ukraine among all countries in the world. A reliable partnership with the United States helps the Government of Ukraine to maintain financial stability and support its citizens by providing essential public services such as education and emergency services,” said Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhii Marchenko.

On November 13, the first deputy head of Ukraine’s Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax, and Customs Policy, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, noted that direct international financing of Ukraine’s budget since the beginning of the full-scale war has exceeded $100 billion.
