On September 21, the Ukrainian parliament passed a resolution №10054-307, in which they appealed to international organizations, parliamentary assemblies, governments, and parliaments of the world’s countries to condemn the illegal elections held by the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions of Ukraine, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a Holos party MP, reported this on his Telegram channel.

The resolution outlines the following requirements and urges the international community to:

  1. Condemn the organization of illegal elections the Russian Federation held on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
  2. Recognize all authorities of the Russian Federation, the members of which have been “elected” during illegal elections on the occupied territories – as well as every decision adopted by these authorities – as illegitimate.
  3. Avoid official contacts with so-called “officials,” illegally elected on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
  4. Recognize the Russian electoral system as illegitimate and not complying with international democratic standards.
  5. Introduce more sanctions for the Russian Federation and people involved in the organization and running illegal elections on the occupied territories of Ukraine.
  6. Keep providing Ukraine with military aid to boost its defensive capabilities and encourage the restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
  7. Participate in implementing the President of Ukraine’s Peace Formula to stop aggression.
