UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Jul 17 — On July 15, the analytical OSINT project DeepState reported that Russian troops advanced near Ambarne, a village in the Velykyi Burluk community.

Earlier, DeepState said that Russian forces occupied Milove, a village 3,28 kilometers (2 miles) from Ambarne, located near the Russian border.

Viktor Trehubov, the spokesman for the operation-strategic military grouping “Khortytsia,” told Gwara Media that the Ukrainian forces control Ambarne, and the Russians attacked nearby.

Pavlo Shamshyn, a spokesperson of Operational Tactical Group “Kharkiv,” said that Russian troops are trying to open a new axis to distract the Ukrainian army from other sections of the frontline.

“Two weeks ago, Russians started an attack near Milove. Then they tried to move towards Ambarne and were stopped. Then they changed the vector of movement and tried to move towards Hatne but were also stopped. They are trying to stretch our defense, looking for weaknesses. If they think that they’ve found such a place, they will accumulate infantry there,” Shamshyn said during a national telethon.
