UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug 22 — At around 1:00 p.m., the Russian army struck Lemishchyne village in the  Zolochiv community with FPV drones. No one was injured among the civilians, Viktor Kovalenko, the head of the Zolochiv village military administration, told Gwara Media.

Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.

Lemishchyne is located 2,4 miles from the Russian border. Currently, 25 people live there. The Russian drone strikes destroyed a house, outbuildings, a car, and an apiary.

On July 30, Serhii Bolvinov, head of the investigation department of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, reported that the Russian army started launching massive drone attacks on civilians.

On August 14, a Russian FPV drone hit a humanitarian aid center in Kupiansk, Kharkiv region. The drone attack injured a 64-year-old man and damaged his car.

  • At about 1:00 p.m., the Russian army attacked the village of Kozacha Lopan in the Kharkiv region with artillery, hitting a building of village council and trapping three people under the rubble, Oleksandr Kulik, a spokesman for the Derhachi City Council, told Gwara Media.
