UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, June 28 — The authorities plan to announce a mandatory evacuation of children in Monachynivka and Doroshivka in the Kindrashivska community, the head of the Kupiansk District Military Administration, Andrii Kanashevych, said on Ukrainian Radio, Suspilne reports.
Oleh Syniehubov, Kharkiv Oblast Governor, said on 18 June that the Kupiansk direction is even more important to the Russian army now than the north where they launched a new ground offensive in May. He added that the Russian military continues to destroy civilian infrastructure and crossings of the Oskil River in the Kupiansk district to make life as difficult as possible for the population.
According to Kanashevych, there are 20 children in the Kindrashivska community. Some children have been evacuated from the community, and now the authorities plan to announce evacuation from two more settlements that are constantly under Russian artillery fire.
Andrii Kanashevych noted that the evacuation of children from the Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, and Kurylivka communities started in November last year.
Oleh Synenubov, Kharkiv Oblast Governor, said on Ukrainian TV on June 27 that over the past month, more than 12,000 residents of the frontline towns of Vovchansk, Kupiansk, and Lyptsi districts have been evacuated due to the Russian shelling.
