BELGIUM, BRUSSELS, Jun 6 — On June 5, Rustem Umerov, the Defence Minister of Ukraine, had a conversation with Norway’s Defence Minister, Tore Onshuus Sandvik, on where to allocate $7 more billion of Norwegian aid.
Umerov attended the Ukraine–NATO Council meeting in Brussels, where he had bilateral meetings with allies, including Norway.
“Norway is among the leaders in the amount of help for Ukraine,” he said.
Umerov and Sandvik discussed how to use these resources most effectively. Among the priorities, he said, is developing joint projects, particularly related to unmanned systems, which include procurement of Ukrainian drones and financing the manufacture of domestic drone models.
On March 27, the government of Norway donated a solar hybrid station to one of Kharkiv hospitals, which serves more than 11,000 patients in a year.
