UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Sep 13 —  Ukrainian military in the Kharkiv direction observes the cases of desertion of among Russian troops due to the loss of personnel, reported “Kharkiv” group of forces. 

Russia started its new offensive north and northeast in the Kharkiv region in May, but Ukrainian troops have stabilized the frontline in this section since. Now, heavy battles are ongoing in and around Vovchansk (three miles from the border, 46 miles away from Kharkiv) and near Lyptsi (six miles from the border, 12 miles from Kharkiv.)

“Kharkiv” also reported about a shortage of water and provisions at the frontline positions of the Russian army near Hlyboke. 

Russians are preparing for an assault near Lukiantsi and reinforcing their advanced positions near Tykhe, “Kharkiv” wrote. 

In Vovchansk, “Kharkiv” reported, the Russians continue to conduct assaults in the area of high-rise buildings and collect intelligence via aerial reconnaissance. Military also said that Russians have strengthened the combat capacity of their assault groups in the area. 

Over the past day, Russia conducted 40 kamikaze drone strikes and two airstrikes using five glide bombs (KABs) in the Kharkiv direction. They also fired 394 times at the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to “Kharkiv,” Russian army lost 73 troops over the past day in the Kharkiv direction. 

They also lost 66 units of weapons and military equipment, including one armored combat vehicle, one multiple rocket launcher, three artillery systems, eight vehicles, one piece of special equipment, 52 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 38 shelters for personnel, two ammunition storage sites, and two UAV launch sites.
