UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Oct 10 — In the Kharkiv direction, the Russian military attempted to reinforce the losses of troops and restore artillery assets by deploying additional artillery units, reported the “Kharkiv” group of forces.

Russia started its new offensive north and northeast in the Kharkiv region in May, but Ukrainian troops have stabilized the frontline in this section since. Now, heavy battles are ongoing in and around Vovchansk (three miles from the border, 46 miles away from Kharkiv) and near Lyptsi (six miles from the border, 12 miles from Kharkiv.)

The “Kharkiv” reported that near the village of Starytsia, Russians tried to resupply munitions at the frontlines.

Over the past day, in the Kharkiv direction, the Russian army launched seven airstrikes using ten glide bombs (KABs), attacked with 72 kamikaze drones, and fired 379 times at the positions of the Defense Forces, “Kharkiv” wrote.  

In one day in the Kharkiv direction, Russians lost 99 troops. In addition, the Russians lost 60 units of weapons and military equipment, including nine artillery systems, one tank, two armored combat vehicles, nine vehicles, seven units of special equipment, 33 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 97 shelters for personnel, and tree ammunition storage sites.
