UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Oct 9 — In Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, the Russian military moved personnel, provided logistical support, and reinforced losses. In addition, there was an increase in the use of North Korea-made shells, reported the “Kharkiv” group of forces.

Russia started its new offensive north and northeast in the Kharkiv region in May, but Ukrainian troops have stabilized the frontline in this section since. Now, heavy battles are ongoing in and around Vovchansk (three miles from the border, 46 miles away from Kharkiv) and near Lyptsi (six miles from the border, 12 miles from Kharkiv.)

The “Kharkiv” reported that in the area of Hlyboke, the Russians continue to rotate troops at the frontlines, looking for new routes of movement.

Near Starytsia, while trying to fill the frontline positions with new manpower, the Russian military was hit by the Defense Forces. This caused losses, and the Russians refused to fulfill their tasks,  “Kharkiv” wrote.  

The “Kharkiv” reported that over the past day, in the Kharkiv direction, the Russian army launched four airstrikes using seven glide bombs (KABs), attacked with 32 kamikaze drones, and fired 262 times at the positions of the Defense Forces.

In one day in the Kharkiv direction, Russians lost 64 troops, four of whom surrendered. In addition, the Russians lost 19 units of weapons and military equipment, including one artillery system, two armored combat vehicles, one vehicle, one unit of special equipment, and 14 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
