UKRAINE, KHARKIV REGION, Sep 23 — From May 10 to September 21, 2024, the Russian army lost 16,384 troops in the Kharkiv direction, press service of the “Kharkiv” group of forces reports.
Russians advance into Kharkiv Oblast from two sides, northern and southeastern. The “Kharkiv” group of forces is responsible for defending the region in the north, operating on what’s called the Kharkiv axis or Kharkiv direction. Russia launched a ground offensive there on May 10, 2024.
“Kharkiv” noted that, among Russian losses among personnel, there have been 5,428 killed and 10,958 injured soldiers.
During that period on the Kharkiv axis, Russia also lost 140 tanks (69 destroyed, 74 damaged), 211 combat armored vehicles (134 destroyed, 77 damaged), 1,464 vehicles (866 destroyed, 598 damaged), and 762 artillery systems (212 destroyed, 550 damaged), “Kharkiv” adds.
Apart from that, Ukrainian troops destroyed 4,468 drones of different kinds and 152 Russian ammunition storage.
