UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Nov 7 – Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Kupiansk, and Izium districts have received humanitarian aid from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reported the press service of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

In the spring of 2024, the Russian army attacked Ukrainian energy facilities with missiles and drone strikes. On May 8, the Prime Minister reported that they had destroyed or damaged 800 heating facilities in the country. In particular, the March attacks destroyed the power and heating infrastructure supplying Kharkiv and its region.

The humanitarian aid includes 11 generators with power ranging from 22 to 80 kW, three lifting platforms, two trailers with a lighting mast and an electric generator, six submersible pumps, and a wheel loader.

The special vehicles will help to deal with the damage caused by the Russian shelling and strengthen local municipal services.

On November 5, Mayor Ihor Terekhov talked to the French ambassador to Ukraine, and France promised to join the creation of an “energy island” in Kharkiv.
