Today, on 22 March, at 9:15 pm, the National Telethon will broadcast a documentary film, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reports.
“Kharkiv Counteroffensive. Ground” is the final part of the trilogy “Military Intelligence of Ukraine: at Sea, in the Sky, on the Ground” by journalist and military man Artem Shevchenko. The project tells the story of Ukraine’s outstanding special operations.
“The Kharkiv offensive is a masterpiece of strategic level: as a result, we managed to recapture 8,500 square kilometers of our land, which is about 400 settlements and 150,000 Ukrainians,” the DIU said.
The previous parts of the story are about:
- “Air breakthrough to Azovstal. The Sky” – an air operation in March-April 2022 that continued the effective defence of Mariupol’s defenders at Azovstal for over a month. Helicopters brought in soldiers, picked up the wounded, and delivered ammunition and medical supplies. The first part of the trilogy was presented on 8 March.
- “The Battle for Zmiyinyi Island. The Sea” – the island’s liberation resulted from many successful special operations: the sinking of the Moskva missile cruiser, the destruction of several landing craft and enemy boats, and the overall disruption of the island’s logistics. The liberation allowed for the resumption of shipping. This part was presented on 15 March.
The documentaries lift the veil of secrecy behind the successful Ukrainian operations. According to the author, the work on the trilogy lasted only three months – October, November, and December 2022.
