UKRAINE, Aug 5 — In July, the Kharkiv Animal Rescue volunteers took 464 animals out of the frontline areas where active hostilities occur.

The volunteer team said that 243 animals, including 42 birds, were taken under care by the organization Patron PET Center, Charitable Foundation “Zoosimya,” and volunteers.

Also, families in Ukraine and abroad adopted 88 animals, 12 of which were taken in by their caregivers and native owners.

“Very good conditions for their ability to recover from the stress they had to go through: spacious aviaries with colored booths, pools for dogs, toys, flowers on the territory,” said the Kharkiv Animal Rescue team.

During the first half of 2025, Russian troops attacked at least 15 farms and agricultural enterprises, said Oleh Syniehubov, the governor of the Kharkiv Oblast, during a meeting with journalists.
