UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Nov 11 – In the Kupiansk direction, the ISW did not confirm Russian information about advancing in the direction of Kalynove and Holubivka north of Kupiansk, reported the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

One of the main goals of the Russian full-scale war is to capture the remainder of occupied Luhansk and Donetsk Oblast; their operations on the Kupiansk-Svatove-Kreminna line are dedicated to that. From this section of the frontline, they also aim to push into Kharkiv Oblast and re-occupy Kupiansk and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, important logistics hubs for the region.

Russian assault is ongoing in multiple vectors, west, east, and southeast of Kupiansk on the axis, the ISW writes.

Along the Kupiansk-Svatove-Kreminna line, the ISW also couldn’t find confirmation to Russian claims about advancing “in an area 200 meters wide and 600 meters in depth near Vyshneve and up to 200 meters towards Kopanky from Pershotravneve” west of Svatove.

The ISW analysts also report that Russia continued assaults near Vovchansk and Starytsia north of Kharkiv but did not advance as of November 9 and 10.

ISW cites Ukrainian soldier fighting in the north of the Kharkiv region who said that because of the weather complicating Russian logistics, they are using less MLRS there. He said that the main task of the Russian army today is to reach the Vovcha River. For this purpose, they are deploying untrained personnel to assault.

The General Staff reported that over the past day, in the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions six times near Starytsia and Vovchansk. In the Kupiansk direction, there were three Russian attacks.
