In photos: Russians dropped glide bomb on Kharkiv, injure 5 people, including child

UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Sep 13 — Russians dropped a glide bomb  FAB-250 on Kharkiv, injuring five people, including a 10-year-old girl, reported Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast.

Russian army attacks Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second city, often because it’s close to the border and the frontline. Their attacks intensified significantly since Moscow launched a new ground offensive north of the Kharkiv region in May.

The Russian FAB-250 hit the river bank, but the shock wave reached the Kyivskyi district of the city. The attack injured five people, including three women aged 39, 70, and 83, a 33-year-old man, and a 10-year-old girl who suffered an acute stress reaction.

“At first, we received information about two hits, but when we arrived at the site, we discovered that there was one bomb attack on the territory of Velyka Danylivka [Kyivskyi district – ed],” said Bohdan Hladkykh, head of the Kharkiv City Council’s Emergency Situations Department.

Oleh Syniehubov said that the Russian attack damaged two houses and one non-residential building.

On the same day, at about 5 p.m., the Russian army dropped a glide bomb (KAB) on the Mala Danylivka community in the Kharkiv district, damaging trees and fencing in the landscape park.
