KHARKIV, UKRAINE, May 1 — On April 30, at about 10:02 a.m., the Russian military attacked the Kholodnohirskyi and Kyivsky districts of Kharkiv with airstrikes. Their glide bombs killed one person and injured another nine.
The press service of Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) noted that the deceased was a 25-year-old rail fitter, Oleksandr Kot. The man was at work when the Russians launched an airstrike. He died at the hit site from a shrapnel wound to the head. Another railroad worker was injured and is receiving all necessary medical care.
According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, three women aged 28, 38, 40, and one 42-year-old man are in the hospital with explosive injuries. Six people were treated on-site, most of them suffering from acute stress reactions.
Syniehubov says, first, Russians hit the Kyivskyi district, on the territory of a garage cooperative and a nearby administrative building. The attack destroyed more than 40 garages. Three passenger cars caught fire, and six more were damaged. The second strike hit the Kholodnohirskyi district, damaging two civilian buildings.
There is information that the Russian army struck the city with the UMPB D30-SN modified glide bombs, the regional Prosecutor’s Office said.
