UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Jul 24 — In the morning, the Russian army attacked Feldman ecopark, a landscape park, in the Kharkiv suburbs, injuring two employees born in 1983 and 2005 and causing stables to catch fire, reported the head of the Mala Danylivka community, Oleksandr Hololobov, to Gwara Media. Oleh Syniehubov, governor of the Kharkiv Oblast, said the attack was carried out via UAV strike.
Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.
“The fire was put out. One worker was injured in the left forearm; the other had a bruise on the soft tissue of the forearm. They were hospitalized,” Oleksandr Hololobov said.
There was information that because of the drone strike, a kangaroo escaped from the ecopark, one of the objects of the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine, but it was not confirmed. Hololobov said workers rescued the horses, and they were not injured in the attack.
The State Emergency Service reported that the Russian strike caused a fire on the territory of the stable building, and the flames spread to a wooden outbuilding and a guest house. The total area of the fire was about 1500 m2.
