UKRAINE, Sep 16 — Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russians have damaged 1,657 and destroyed 221 medical facilities in Ukraine, the Ministry of Health reported

Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipro, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions suffered the greatest losses in terms of damaged or destroyed healthcare facilities during the full-scale war.

In addition, the Russian army destroyed 261 ambulances, damaged 202 more, and captured 125, the Ministry of Health reported. 

Over two years, 886 medical facilities have been fully or partially restored in different regions of Ukraine. Of these, 533 have been fully restored, and another 353 have been partially restored. 

Medical facilities in the deoccupied territories and facilities that have suffered minor damage have been restored. Most facilities have been restored in the Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions. 

On September 12, the World Health Organization, with the support of the German government and the USAID Foundation, provided Ukraine with ambulances. The organization provided ambulances to Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Sumy regions, and others.
