UPD, October 21, 4:32 p.m.: Mistake fixed in a headline. Russian attacks injured 12, not 24 people in Kharkiv and Kharkiv region, according to Kharkiv Oblast Governor Oleg Syniehubov.

UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Oct 21 — On October 20, the bodies of a 71-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman were found under the rubble of a residential building damaged by Russian shelling in the village of Novoplatonivka, Borova community, said Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast.

Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.

Oleh Syniehubov said that the Russians attacked another settlement of the same community, damaging a house in the village of Bohuslavka.

On the same day, the Russians launched airstrikes in Kharkiv, injuring 12 people, including a child. Around 10:00 p.m., they bombed two districts of the city. In the Osnovianskyi district, the attack injured 11 and damaged four residential buildings, six non-residential buildings, and 14 cars.

In the Kyivskyi district of the city, the second Russian glide bomb injured one person and damaged seven residential buildings, eight non-residential buildings, three cars, and a gas station.
