KHARKIV, UKRAINE, Jan 7 – The Russian army carried out air strikes in the areas of Vovchansk in Chuhuiv district; Tabaivka, Oleksandrivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Prykolotne and Chuhunivka in Kupiansk district.

More than 15 settlements in Kharkiv Oblast came under artillery and mortar fire, including: Chervona Zorya, Bohodukhiv district; Kozacha Lopan, Lukyantsi, Kharkiv district; Vovchansk, Bochkove, Budarki, Chuhuiv district; Dvorichna, Sinkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove, Kupiansk district, reported Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Military District Administration.

  • At 10 a.m., they struck Vovchansk, Chuhuiv district. A 56-year-old man sustained shrapnel wounds; he was hospitalised in moderate condition. An enterprise and power poles were damaged;
  • at about 10:15 a.m. Russia shelled Kupyansk. Private houses and a kindergarten were damaged. One residential building was destroyed;
  • a private house was damaged in Vovchansk, Chuhuiv district, as a result of a strike by an unidentified aerial vehicle and shelling. There were no casualties;
  • at 11 a.m. there was an artillery shelling of the outskirts of Kozacha Lopan village in Kharkiv district. There were no casualties;
  • at around 1:50 p.m., Russia struck near Merefa, Kharkiv district. There were no casualties;
  • at 2:15 p.m. Russian troops shelled Vovchansk, Chuhuiv district, with a mortar. A private house was damaged. There were no casualties.
