UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, May — On May 19, Russian troops attacked six times on the Kharkiv and Kupiansk axes, reported the General Staff of Ukraine forces.
Russia continues its offensive in Kharkiv Oblast after making reported threats to occupy Kharkiv and Sumy (if Ukraine doesn’t withdraw from the territories Russia has already occupied) at Istanbul talks. Over two days after the negotiations, Russia made 12 attacks on the Ukrainian army’s positions and shelled 10 settlements across the Kharkiv region, injuring four people.
On May 19, Russian troops tried to advance three times on the Kharkiv axis near Vovchansk and Kutkivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian forces recorded three Russian assaults, repelling attacks near Zahryzove and Pishchane.
Over the past day, Russia attacked civilians in Kupiansk and Bohodukhiv districts, injuring two women. They also attacked one of the checkpoints in the region with a “Molniya” strike drone, injuring two policemans and three soldiers.
Also, Russia has been hitting Kharkiv with “Molniya” drones for two days. Yesterday, one drone hit the Kyivskyi district; today, the other attacked the Shevchenkivskyi district. There were no casualties.
