UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Jul 4 — In the Kharkiv direction, the Russian army continues offensive and assault operations. There were 19 combat clashes near Sotnytskyi Kozachok, Hlyboke, Lyptsi, and Vovchansk, reported the General Staff.

Russia started their new offensive north and northeast in the Kharkiv region in May, but Ukrainian troops have stabilized the frontline in this section since. Now, heavy battles are ongoing in and around Vovchansk (three miles from the border, 46 miles away from Kharkiv) and near Lyptsi (six miles from the border, 12 miles from Kharkiv.)

The General Staff reported that in the Kupiansk direction, there were four Russian attacks over the day. Defense forces repelled Russian assaults near Synkivka, Stelmakhivka, and Novoselivka.

The Russians hit Lyptsi, Vovchanski Khutory, Okhrimivka, Hlushkivka, and  Synkove with air strikes.

According to the General Staff, over the past day, the Russian army launched one missile attack, 59 air strikes, using 111 guided bombs (KABs), and fired over 4,000 times at the positions of Ukrainian units and towns and villages all over Ukraine.
