The Freedom of Russia Legion posted on its Telegram channel that its groups are fighting in the Belgorod region.

“There are no wounded or dead among the Legionnaires, and we are working according to plan. Leave the tales of minefields to Konoshenkov. We continue to clean up our house from Putin’s filth,” the statement said.

The Russian telegram channel ASTRA had previously announced a battle between Russian border guards and a Ukrainian subversive group on the demarcation line between the Ukrainian Sumy Oblast and the Russian Belgorod Oblast.

The Russian authorities have not officially confirmed the fighting in the border areas. However, the Russian media claim that the events are occurring near Staroselye and Terebreno villages.
