UKRAINE, Nov 11 — Vice President of the European Commission Josep Borrell announced in an interview with the Ukrainian media outlet European Pravda that by the end of 2024, Ukraine will receive 1.5 million shells from the European Union member states.

Josep Borrell said that Ukraine has been supplied with 980,000 shells so far, and another million will be delivered “very soon.”

“In total, we will supply more than 1.5 million rounds of ammunition to Ukraine by the end of the year,” Borrell said.

On October 22, the European Parliament approved a loan of up to €35 billion to Ukraine secured by frozen Russian assets.

On September 26, the US announced new defense aid to Ukraine totaling $7.9 billion and additional sanctions against Russia.
