President Zelenskyy signed a bill №9638. It suggests continuing to pay salaries for enlisted people, non-commissioned officers, and officers of civil defense services if they are captured or missing. Paying these salaries out to captured or missing people’s families is also аn option, excluding the families of those who voluntarily surrendered into captivity.
Yaroslav Zhelezniak, MP from the Holos party, reports on this in his Telegram channel.
The bill includes the following changes as well:
- Detailing how financial compensation will be paid to people in the military and police for vacation days they haven’t used
- Detailing how financial compensation for unused vacation days will be paid to families of those who served in the military or police but died
- Improving how one-time financial help should be paid to those who quit military services
