UKRAINA, KHARKIV OBLAST, Jan. 20 — Over Jan. 12-18, the border brigade “Hart” that defends the state border in Kharkiv oblast killed 131, injured 111 Russian soldiers in northern Kharkiv oblast, said the press service of the 16th Army Corps.

On Jan. 15, Russian forces were trying to break through positions of the “Hart” brigade, supported by artillery and drones.

According to the brigade, the Russians conducted assaults from different directions, using significant infantry forces without armored vehicles but with artillery, drones, and aviation support.

Border guards used rifles and rocket artillery, as well as attack drones, to fight off Russian troops during their offensive.

Russian soldiers keep up their attacks, constantly engaging reserves to continue their offensive on Ukraine’s state border in the Kharkiv region, said the “Hart” brigade.

At the same time, the military of the 13th Khartiia brigade killed 70 Russian soldiers during their last “meat assault” in the north of Kharkiv oblast, said the head of the personnel section with call sign Morti to Army TV.

Over Jan. 18, Russian forces attempted to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian forces in Vovchansk and the nearest settlements.
