UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Apr. 8 — The Ukrainian military made minor gains near the village of Ambarne in Kupiansk district, Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Kharkiv oblast military group, confirmed to Gwara Media, corroborating data from DeepState, an OSINT war-monitoring group.
On Apr. 6, DeepState reported Ukrainian advances near Ambarne, adding that the 129th Heavy Mechanized Brigade killed Russian soldiers in a forest near the village and cleaned the territory.
On Mar. 24, DeepState reported about the Russian advance near Ambarne.
Trehubov added that Russian troops keep attempting to establish a “buffer zone” along the border, but in Kharkiv oblast, they prioritize repositioning of forces, rather than active offensives.
On the Kupiansk axis, Russian forces are trying to assault Ukrainian positions on the left bank of the Oskil River, but Trehubov claims that Ukrainian military forces are repelling these attacks.
In the border areas of the Sumy region, Russian attacks are more intense than in Kharkiv oblast, Trehubov says.
