UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Feb. 10, — Ukrainian military from “Bulava” (Mace in Eng) battalion of the 72th mechanized brigade evacuated nine wounded soldiers in Kharkiv oblast with the help of grounded robotic complex (GRC), “Bulava” press service reported on Feb. 10.

Ukrainian Brave1 platform, a government marketplace for military equipment, has registered more than 160 developers producing more than 250 designs for ground drones. Over 30 of them are certified to NATO standards — this qualifies them for export and government orders.

“Bulava” press service added that they evacuated soldiers from adjacent units. Remote control, maneuverability and guaranteed crew safety make ground robots especially important in winter when it’s harder to move and hide under constant threat ofRussian FPV drones and artillery.

The ground robot crew also evacuated a wounded soldier located ~0,6 miles (1 kilometer) from the Russian positions on the Vovchansk axis, said the 57th motorized brigade.

The evacuation started on Dec. 17, 2025, and, in the first hours, the robotic complex fell into a mine crater covered in snow. The mortar crew, whose positions were located nearby, pushed GRC out of it.

After that the ground drone crew managed to guide him to the position near the house where a wounded Ukrainian soldier was, and then the drone evacuated him. The servicemen held his position for 275 days.
