UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Mar. 18 — Soldiers of the 14th Mechanized Brigade repelled a Russian attack on the Kupiansk axis, said the press service of the brigade.
The brigade killed 18 and injured five Russian soldiers during the fight. They also destroyed 11 quad bikes and two multi-purpose armoured vehicles.
On Mar. 17, Viktor Trehubov, a spokesperson for a military group responsible for the Kharkiv oblast, said that Russian troops have advanced with small groups in the “grey zone” near Pishchane on the Kupiansk axis, attempting to lead an assault toward Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi.
Also, another brigade of Ukrainian forces noted an increase in Russian assaults on this axis, which is likely connected to preparation for their spring-summer offensive.
