UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Sep. 19 — “All (Russian) attempts to cross Oskil River on boats — most were destroyed by artillery, mortars, and FPV drones,” said Ukraine’s 10th army corps about the situation on the Kupiansk axis.
Russia has intensified its attempts to seize Kupiansk this August, attempting to encircle the city from the west and cut off logistics, and entering the city from the north, from occupied Radkivka and Holubivka.
10th Army Corps added that the Russian small infantry groups are active (on the Kupiansk axis), often in civilian clothes, emphasizing that that’s another Russian war crime.
At the beginning of August, Gwara spoke to the people evacuated from Kupiansk who reported interacting with Russian saboteurs dressed up as locals, which was confirmed by three Ukrainian soldiers working in or near Kupiansk.
Before Sep. 19, there have been reports and videos about Russians using a gas pipeline to reach the outskirts of Kupiansk from the north, the third time they have used this tactic since a full-scale invasion.
On Sep. 19, the 10th army corps said that, to prevent Russian troops from getting into the city from “where occupiers gathered up their forces, Radkivka and Holubivka,” the Ukrainian army damaged and sank the gas pipeline that helped the Russians get into the city.
Yurii Fedorenko, commander of the “Achilles” regimen, also told “Suspilne” about that on Sep. 17.
A drone pilot working in Kupiansk who wished to stay anonymous told Gwara, “Aviation and artillery (worked to blow the pipeline), the results are unknown for now. I hope it got flooded.”
