UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Feb. 25 — On Feb. 22, a Russian air strike on the house in the village of Novoosynove, Kupiansk district, injured a 33-year-old woman with her 13-year-old and seven-year-old daughters. Ukrainian authorities evacuated them after 3 days of Russian drone threats blocked the rescue, said Oleh Syniehubov, governor of the region.
Syniehubov said that Ukrainian authorities and military had been working all night to prepare for the family’s evacuation. The threat of the Russian drone attacks and inclement weather complicated the evacuation. The woman and her daughter are currently receiving medical assistance. The governor also said that the family has a seven-year-old girl who wasn’t seriously injured.
Over the past day, Russian forces attacked eight settlements in the region with 27 drones of different types. No casualties were reported.
Russian attacks also damaged a house in the Izium district and two houses in the Chuhuiv district.
