UKRAINE, KHARKIV REGION, Feb. 9 — Ukraine’s military reports Russia amassing military equipment north of the Kharkiv region.
“We’re observing an accumulation of (Russian) military equipment; they have already started launching (more) glide bomb attacks. (We also see) They increase the number of logistical equipment, arms, and move more military equipment around. Dozens of heavy military equipment are being moved,” said Tamara Koval from the 58th motorized brigade’s unit of unmanned aerial complexes to Suspilne.
Koval notes that, because of cold weather, the brigade faces fewer Russian attacks, but Russian troops attack remotely, with “sporadic” outbursts of assault activity by small infantry groups. Koval says Russia doesn’t have success north of Kharkiv oblast.
DeepState reported on Russia’s advance north of Kharkiv in their Feb. 8 map update: according to OSINT war trackers, Russia made gains in the Vovchansk community. Before that, ISW and DeepState reported on the Russian occupation of Dihtriane (formerly Dehtriane) in the northeast of the Kharkiv region.
