Jan. 21 — Ukraine, in coordination with Palantir, an American tech company known for data integration and analytics software, has launched the Brave1 Dataroom — a platform for developing and testing AI technologies to intercept drones, the Ukrainian government’s military technology cluster Brave1 reported.
Brave1 says the platform allows Ukrainian defense companies to train and test their AI models, from target detection and classification to interception, using real data on airborne objects collected by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Brave1 added that, at the beginning, Dataroom will be focused on autonomous technologies for detecting and intercepting Russian drones.
The Dataroom itself is built on the software from Palantir. It already contains a selection of visual and thermal databases of drones, including Shaheds. Brave1 also said that these datasets will be expanded.
Palantir has operated in Ukraine since the spring 2022. The major product company provides to Ukraine is Palantir Edge AI, a software that helps gather sensor, radio, acoustic, geo-registration, and time series data for real-time analytics.
According to the Guardian, Palantir also provides AI-powered technologies to Israel for its attacks on Gaza in Palestine. A company also gives software and data-analysis technology for the Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilitating deportation across the US, Pentagon’s drone technologies, and, reportedly racist, profiling programs of potential criminals for the police departments.
