UKRAINE, Jun 11 — On June 11, Ukraine brought back the bodies of 1,212 fallen soldiers as a result of repatriation efforts, said the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

On June 2, Ukraine and Russia met in Istanbul for peace negotiations and agreed to exchange severely wounded and critically ill soldiers, all soldiers aged 18–25, and the remains of 6,000 killed troops.

On June 9, Ukraine brought home the first group of soldiers under 25. The next day, Ukraine exchanged a group of severely wounded and critically ill prisoners.

Today, these are the remains of personnel who defended the Kharkiv, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk, and Sumy regions. Also, there were bodies of soldiers who fought in the Kursk region.
