KHARKIV, UKRAINE, DEC 5 — The situation remains unchanged in northern Kharkiv Oblast, but the Ukrainian military keeps monitoring the situation and taking measures to be prepared for any developments.
The head of Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported on this during the briefing.
According to Syniehubov, the Ukrainian military understands clearly that Russian troops didn’t abandon intentions to return lost during the AFU counteroffensive in autumn of 2022. Russia also didn’t abandon their plans to occupy Kharkiv as well.

A British media outlet The Telegraph wrote that Russian soldiers can start a ground offensive in the direction of Kharkiv on January 15. They wrote that Moscow will bombard the northeast part of the region. The sources The Telegraph is referring to believe that Russia can intensify airstrikes on the weekends to fit Russian Christmas on January 7.
