RUSSIA, KRASNODAR REGION, Feb. 17 — Center of special operation Alpha of Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) attacked with kamikaze drones Tamanneftegaz oil terminal in Krasnodar region, Ukrinform, Ukrainian news agency, reported on Feb. 17.

Tamanneftegaz is one of the largest oil terminals in the Black Sea region. It operates the Taman transshipment complex, handling petroleum products, crude oil, and liquefied hydrocarbon gases and ammonia.

The company’s tank farm exceeds 1 million cubic meters (6.29 million barrels), making Tamanneftegaz a key element of Russia’s export infrastructure.

This is the second SBU’s attack on the oil terminal in 2026. In the previous attack on Jan. 22, SBU damaged Tamanneftegaz’s pipelines and tanks containing petroleum products, making the terminal lose $50 million.

SBU systematically attacks the Russian energy and export infrastructure, without which it is more difficult for Russia to finance the war against Ukraine, said a source close to SBU, Ulkrinform reported.
