UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Jul 28 — Last week, from July 21 to 27, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv 47 times and injured 71 people, including 11 children, said mayor of the city Ihor Terekhov.
In recent days, Russians have intensified their attacks on civilians in Kharkiv. From Jul 21 to Jul 27, they used 30 Shahed drones, one drone of an unknown type, seven Chernika drones, seven guided bombs, and two missiles for attacks against the city.
Terekhov said that most of the Russian strikes hit the Kyivskyi district, but the Shevchenkivskyi and Industrialnyi districts of the city were also under attack. Some of the injured are still in the hospital.
As a result of the attacks, more than 1,500 windows were broken in residential buildings in just one week.
Dozens of residential buildings and critical infrastructure facilities, including a boiler room, a transformer substation, and a tuberculosis hospital, were damaged as well. Russia also targeted civilian businesses.
Last week, the air raid alert sounded 43 times in Kharkiv, lasting 55 hours and 30 minutes. In the region, it lasted 81 hours and 59 minutes.
Earlier, the Kharkiv mayor said that, since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, 44 out of 58 of the сity’s medical facilities in Kharkiv have been damaged.
