UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Feb. 3 — On the night of Feb. 3, Russian forces conducted a massive attack on Kharkiv and the region that lasted more than three hours, damaging one of the biggest power stations, reported Ihor Terekhov, the Kharkiv mayor.
In Kharkiv, 820 apartment buildings are without heating because of the attack.
The Russian attack also left over 16,000 customers in the Lozova community without heating, too, said Serhii Zelenskyi, the head of the community.
Russians launched five missiles, five glide bombs, and 68 drones of different types at Kharkiv and the region over the past day, reported the governor Oleh Syniehubov.
Syniehubov said that a significant number of attack drones and missiles were directed at energy infrastructure.
The governor also reported that, over the past day, Russian attacks killed an 85-year-old woman and injured a 61-year-old woman and two men aged 58 and 67 years old in the Kupiansk district.
In the Derhachi community, Russians injured a 22-year-old man and a 79-year-old woman.
In Kharkiv, Russian attacks damaged an apartment building, a house, shopping pavilions, a public transport stop, and two cars.
In the Kharkiv district, Russians damaged 12 houses, a car, and an outbuilding.
They also damaged a house and a car in the Bohodukhiv district, a kindergarten in the Kupinsk district, a car, four houses, and two outbuildings in the Izium district, and a house in the Chuhuiv district.
