UKRAINE, KUPIANSK, Mar 19 — Russia launched four attacks on Kupiansk during the day, injuring two people, reports the Kharkiv Oblast military administration.
At 9:00 a.m., they hit the city with artillery. No casualties have been reported, local authorities say.
At 3:00 p.m., Russian troops launched another attack at Kupiansk—using glide bombs, according to preliminary assessment—injuring an 85-year-old woman. She is currently hospitalized.
Around 3:20 p.m., they launched airstrikes on Kupiansk, setting a garage on fire and injuring a 76-year-old man. He experienced an acute stress reaction.
Forty minutes later, at 4:00 p.m., the Russians conducted another airstrike. The munition hit an administrative building, setting it on fire. No injuries have been reported yet.
Russian attacks on Kupiansk intensified in September, as Moscow’s troops ramped up the assaults towards the Oskil River in that region and managed to reach the outskirts of the city.
While the Ukrainian army fought them off Kupiansk itself, Russia has gained ground in several sections of the Kupiansk axis since autumn, in particular in the area of Dvorichna, a settlement on the right bank of Oskil.
