UKRAINE, IZIUM DISTRICT, Dec. 11 — Russian troops targeted a civilian man riding a motorbike in Novoplatonivka of Izium district with a FPV drone strike, killing him and mining the hit site in the aftermath, 77th Airmobile Brigade of Ukraine’s army wrote on their Facebook.
“Near the hit site, the enemy placed a “waiting” FPV drone to hit anyone who would approach the dead man or would be going by the same road as he had,” the brigade wrote.
In the southern part of the Kupiansk axis, Russians are trying to reach the Oskil River near Borova, a settlement on the left (east) bank of the river. Novoplatonivka is just about 3 kilometers (1 mile) from where Russian troops are advancing in this section of the frontline.
At the end of November, Oleksandr Tertyshnyi, the head of the Borova community, said that Russians intensified their attacks on villages on the right bank of the Oskil river, in Pidvysoke and Horokhovatka startosta’s districts.
77th Aerimobile Brigade added that they consider this Russian strike a “purposeful killing of the civilian population” that violates international laws and customs of war.
