UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Nov 28 — Russian troops conducted 11 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Kharkiv direction and 24 attacks on the Kupiansk axis, reports General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the evening briefing.
North of Kharkiv Oblast, the Russian army wants to push towards Kharkiv close enough to reach the city with tube artillery and create “a buffer zone” for Belgorod Oblast. In the east and southeast of Kharkiv Oblast, Moscow aims to seize Kupiansk and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, which it already occupied in 2022, and take control of the railway infrastructure there.
General Staff reports that, on the Kharkiv axis, Russia attacked the Armed Forces’ positions near Vovchansk, Tykhe, and Hlyboke and bombed Lyptsi and Neskuchne with four air bombs.
On Kupiansk axis, military reports, Russia attacked near Fyholivka, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, Holubivka, Kindrashivka, Zelenyi Hai, Raihorodka, Lozova, and Krukhliakivka. Ukrainian forces repelled 21 attacks, and three clashes are still ongoing.
Overall, General Staff reports that on all sections of the frontline, there have been 188 combat clashes today. Russian troops launched two missile strikes using 97 rockets, launched 23 airstrikes that dropped 44 glide bombs on Ukraine and shelled the AFU’s positions and settlements nearly 3,900 times.
