UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug 18 — Russian troops 25 times attacked the Ukrainian forces operating in Kharkiv Oblast over the past day, reported the General Staff.
Local authorities also reported that Russia launched air attacks on Kharkiv and 10 settlements in the region over the past day.
North of Kharkiv, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian Forces 13 times near Vovchansk, Khatnie, and Odradne settlements.
On the Kupiansk axis, Russians attacked 12 times near Kupiansk itself, Zapadne, Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Nova Krugliakivka.
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) didn’t record any Russian advances in Kharkiv Oblast.
Russian forces have recently become more active in the Kupiansk axis, reported the analysts, referring to the Ukrainian brigade operating in this area. They noted that Russian forces are attacking in small infantry groups as part of efforts to seize Kupiansk.

On August 18, Russians launched five attack drones on the Industrialnyi district of Kharkiv, killing 7 and injuring 20 people.
