UKRAINE, KUPIANSK, Oct. 9 — On the Kupiansk axis, Russian soldiers receiving orders from the command to threaten civilians or kill men immediately in case of refusal to cooperate, said Yevhen Artelemeichuk, the officer of communications for the 10th corps of the Ukrainian army, to Gwara Media.

On the Kupiansk axis, the Russians are attempting to surround and occupy Kupiansk, and gain control of Kupiansk-Vyzlovyi, an important railway hub of Ukrainian logistics in the region.

On Oct. 8, a Ukrainian soldier from the brigade operating on the Kupiansk axis said that Rubicon, one of the most effective units of the Russian army, had intensified its work in this area.

Earlier, Tetiana Branytska, spokeswoman of the 10th corps, said that Russians secure positions in high-rise buildings in Kupiansk for further action and disguise themselves as civilians.
